Joe Amadi-Echendu is a professor at the Graduate School of Technology Management, EBIT Faculty at the University of Pretoria. He specializes in the management of Engineering and Technology and has been consulted on a variety of issues regarding technology commercialization and entrepreneurship, greenfield capital development projects in the mining, metal processing, and gas liquefaction fields. Joe’s knowledge and expertise have been sought throughout Africa, Europe, to the Middle and the Far East. He has co-edited 6 books, sole-authored a book, and authored/co-authored over 150 articles in various technical publications worldwide. Joe obtained chartered engineer status in the UK and he is a registered professional engineer as well as an NRF rated researcher in South Africa. Joe recently served as an experienced researcher for the European Union Horizon 2020 MSCA RISE Project 645733 (2014-2018) on the Sustainable Design and Management of Industrial Assets through Total Value and Cost of Ownership. Joe is a Founding Fellow, Director, and current Chair of the Board of Directors of the International Society of Engineering Asset Management (www.iseam.org), as well as a Director and current Treasurer of the Board of International Association for the Management of Technology (www.iamot.net).
