The SAIIE Awards honour and celebrate outstanding contributions to industrial engineering in Southern Africa. The winners of the 2021 SAIIE Awards will be announced at the SAIIE32 Annual Conference scheduled from 4 - 6 October at Glenburn Lodge, in Muldersdrift. Winners in the following categories will be announced:
Open to all practicing Industrial Engineering educators at a Southern African higher education institution. This award rewards excellence in education, particularly recognising innovations and novel teaching methods, course designs, assessments or other parts of the academic project, developed over the past two years.
Open to all Industrial Engineering practitioners, involved in research in the field of industrial engineering. For a paper published in the past 2 years (2019 & 2020).
Open to all Industrial Engineering practitioners who have graduated in the last 5 years. To be nominated by an employer.
Open to all Industrial Engineering professionals working/consulting at an industry in Southern Africa, this award rewards innovative, fresh and interesting thinking in solving problems. The award will be awarded to the most exciting project conducted by an Industrial Engineering practitioner and is also open to teams.
The recipient of this award is nominated by the SAIIE Council and is an Industrial Engineering practitioners in Academia and in Industry that has achieved high recognition as an exceptional leader and achiever nationally and/or internationally.
